Welcome to the Arizona Criminal Justice Commission's grants page. The Arizona Criminal Justice Commission (ACJC) provides financial assistance to recipient agencies and organizations that support or improve the criminal justice system in Arizona. ACJC is both a grant recipient agency and a grant-making agency and serves this dual role by:
(1) seeking out grant opportunities from funders to address criminal justice system needs; (2) establishing and administering grant programs that provide resources to criminal justice stakeholders in the state. To see what grants are currently available: Grants Available
Processes
ACJC utilizes skilled grant writers and administrators to apply to grant-making entities, such as the federal government, for both competitive or formula-based grants. ACJC then subgrants out to or contracts with other agencies to support projects that improve the criminal justice system. Typical ACJC grant recipients are state, local, tribal, and non-profit organizations that provide criminal justice system related services in the state. The types of grants ACJC provides may be project-based grants, competitive grants, or formula grants. ACJC also provides a number of grant management and administrative services to criminal justice system stakeholders, such as providing fiscal agent services to agencies, grant administration training, grant program development, and grant project evaluation.
Grants Management System
ACJC utilizes its customized Grants Management System to solicit grant applications and manage funded projects from beginning to end. The GMS allows users to apply for grants, submit reports, and request changes to grant allocations. Users must be registered with the GMS in order to access the system. To view the GMS, view here.
